In 2017, we founded Future Ada with a bold mission: to create a more diverse and inclusive space for women, minorities, and all people in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). Over the years, we grew into a vibrant community, hosting impactful programs and events, fostering mentorship, and advocating for equity and inclusion in every way we could.

The pandemic may have slowed us down, but it never stopped us. Together, we persevered, learned, and made a difference. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, partners, participants, and community members. Thank you to each and every one of you who shared your time, energy, and passion to help make our vision a reality.

Now, as we step into 2025, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Future Ada. We want to celebrate the impact we’ve had, reflect on our journey, and look ahead to new ways we can all champion diversity, equity, and inclusion.

DEI is more critical now than it ever has been as we face growing challenges and increasing backlash. While Future Ada is closing, the battle for equity continues. We must all find new ways to advocate for a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in STEAM and beyond. We hope you can seek out and bring the passion and support for our org to other orgs that share a similar vision.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this incredible journey.

With gratitude and hope,
The Future Ada Board
