This year we are honored and thrilled to be able to participate in #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving! This Tuesday, November 27th, please join us in supporting women and non-binary individuals in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM)! Our current programs include the following with many more to come:
Every dollar helps support women and non-binary folks in our community get plugged into and supported through their STEAM academic and professional careers. Your donation goes directly to supporting our mission and programs. Our current programs include the following:
- Django Girls — an annual one day free workshop to teach women & non-binary individuals how to code in Python and Django to build their own website
- PS Workshops — a free monthly workshop series to teach the community at large as well as focus groups (women/minorities, activists, public figures, etc.) about being safe online through good privacy and security practices
- Mentor Program — kicked off our pilot program this month with EWU Career Services Department and the EWU Computer Science Department. We connected women and non-binary students with industry professionals to help prep them for a successful transition into their careers.
- Movie Showing: CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap — we will be hosting a movie night for the community (tentatively scheduled for December) to educate folks on the gender gap in tech and why it’s important
These are just the current programs and events in motion but there are many more to come! We will be expanding out board come Q1 to better support our non-tech STEAM community of folks. Next year we hope to have many more non-tech STEAM programs. Look forward to much more to come!

Each program listed above has a budgeted dollar amount attached to it in order to successfully run.
